Removing
1. Remove pistons with connecting rods.
2. Mark the crankshaft main bearing caps.
3. Unscrew ten mounting bolts and remove the crankshaft main bearing caps (1).
4. Remove the crankshaft (2).
5. To take loose leaves of radical bearings of a cranked shaft.
Installation
1. Insert the upper and lower crankshaft main bearing shells.
2. Install the crankshaft.
3. Install 1-4 crankshaft main bearing caps.
Note. Ensure that all crankshaft main bearing caps are in place.
4. Install eight new crankshaft main bearing cap bolts.
5. Apply black sealant to the groove of the crankshaft rear main bearing cap, then install the cap to the cylinder block.
6. Install two new crankshaft rear main bearing cap bolts.
7. Tighten the crankshaft main bearing cap bolts in three steps:
- Tighten to 50 Nm.
- Tighten 45°using tool EN-45059.
- Tighten 15°using tool EN-45059.
8. Install pistons with connecting rods.
