Removal
1. Remove the pistons with connecting rods.
2. Mark the crankshaft main bearing caps.
3. Loosen the ten mounting bolts and remove the crankshaft main bearing caps (1).

4. Remove the crankshaft (2).
5. Remove the crankshaft main bearing shells.
Installation
1. Insert the upper and lower crankshaft main bearing shells.

2. Install the crankshaft.
3. Install 1-4 crankshaft main bearing caps.
Note: Make sure all crankshaft main bearing caps are in place.
4. Install eight new crankshaft main bearing cap bolts.
5. Apply black sealant to the groove of the rear main bearing cap of the crankshaft, then install the cap on the cylinder block.
6. Install two new crankshaft rear main bearing cap bolts.
7. Tighten the crankshaft main bearing cap bolts in three steps:
- Tighten to 50 Nm.
- Using the EN-45059 tool, tighten to 45°.
- Using the EN-45059 tool, tighten by 15°.
8. Install pistons with connecting rods.
