Removal
1. Remove the auxiliary drive belt (see the relevant section), having previously marked the direction of rotation on it.
2. After installing the socket with the extension rod on the crankshaft sprocket bolt, turn the shaft so that the notch on the pulley rim aligns with the pointer on the cover (see illustration).

3. Loosen and remove the small mounting bolts securing the pulley to the crankshaft sprocket and remove the pulley from the engine. If necessary, block the crankshaft by holding the sprocket bolt with a suitable socket.
Installation
4. Make sure that the crankshaft sprocket mark is still aligned with the mark on the oil pump housing, then move the crankshaft pulley to the operating position. Align the notch on the pulley rim with the pointer, then install the pulley onto the sprocket and tighten the mounting bolts to the torque specified in the Specifications.
5. Install the auxiliary drive belt (see the relevant section), orienting it according to the mark made before removal.
