Removing
1. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands.
Models up to 1998
2. Clamp the coolant supply hoses to the oil cooler. Loosen the clamps and remove the hoses from the radiator.
3. Wipe the area near the oil filter housing, unscrew the bolts and remove the housing and gasket from the cylinder head.
4. Unscrew the screws and remove the oil cooler cover (drawing on the left) and gasket from the front of the oil filter housing (drawing on the right).
5. Remove the bolts from the back of the oil filter housing
6. Remove the oil cooler (drawing on the left) together with sealing rings (indicated by arrows in the figure on the right).
Models since 1998
7. Clamp the coolant supply hoses to the oil cooler. Loosen the clamps and remove the hoses from the oil cooler.
8. Wipe the area near the oil cooler, unscrew the bolts and remove the oil cooler and gasket from the oil filter housing.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. In this case, it is necessary to install a new gasket and sealing rings.
