Exhaust quality check — every 400 km (Opel Omega A)

Start the engine and visually assess the quality of the exhaust. The presence of smoke will indicate one of the following damages:

White smoke

• a) Fuel injection timing is set incorrectly
• b) Low compression
• c) Water got into the cylinders

Black smoke

• a) The air filter is clogged
• b) The injector is faulty

Blue smoke

• a) Engine oil got into the cylinders
• b) The injector is faulty
