The inspection is carried out every year.
The check should be carried out with the engine cooled down. A source of compressed air is required for the check.
1. Start the engine and check the exhaust system by ear for leaks.
2. Turn off the engine.
3. Insert the compressed air supply nipple into the exhaust pipe, sealing it with a rag.
4. Apply compressed air under pressure 6 atm.
5. Lubricate the joints of the cylinder head to the manifold, the manifold to the downpipe, and the downpipe to the catalytic converter with leak detection agent and check for bubbles.
6. Fix the problem.
