The condition check is carried out every year.
The condition of the windshield wiper assemblies should be checked regularly in accordance with the vehicle's routine maintenance schedule (see section Schedule of current maintenance). The brushes are inspected for mechanical damage, signs of loosening of the component fastenings and wear of the rubber working elements.
Over time, road film accumulates on the working surfaces of the brushes, which leads to a noticeable decrease in the efficiency of the windshield wipers. Regularly wash the brushes with a medium-concentration cleaning solution.
During operation of the windscreen wipers, the fasteners may gradually loosen spontaneously; the reliability of their fit and tightening should also be checked regularly.
If cracks or signs of wear on the rubber working elements are detected, the brushes are replaced.
1. Move the wiper arm away from the glass.
2. Press the locking tab inward and carefully remove the brush from the hook at the end of the lever.
To remove the brush from the lever, you need to press the locking tab, then release the frame from the hook

3. If you need to replace the wiper blade, squeeze the locking tabs on the end of the blade firmly, then grasp the blade and pull it out of the metal frame.
To remove the working element from the metal frame, squeeze the side locking tabs

4. Remove the metal holders from the rubber working element and insert them into the grooves of the new element.
Before installation, metal holders are inserted into the grooves of the working element in the brushes

5. Insert the element into the frame, making sure that the locking tabs snap securely into place.
6. Place the blade on the wiper arm and insert it into the hook, making sure the locking tab snaps into place securely.
