Attention.
- Under pressure, the boiling point of the coolant in the radiator can be much higher. Removing the radiator cap on a hot engine (at high pressure), can cause the liquid to boil instantly with an explosive effect. The coolant mixture will splash onto the engine, vehicle fenders, and the person who removed the radiator cap, resulting in severe burns. Flammable antifreeze, such as alcohol, is not recommended for use under any circumstances. Using a flammable antifreeze hammer can cause a serious fire.
- To prevent burns, do not remove the radiator cap when the engine and radiator are hot. If the lid is removed too early, hot liquid and steam may escape under pressure.
1. Remove the cap of the expansion tank of the cooling system.
2. Check the coolant level and, if necessary, top up to the mark «Cold».
3. To pull off a broad tank of system of cooling from an arm in a direction of the storage battery.
4. Connect the cooling system leak tester (1) with EN-471 adapters (2) and EN-6327-A (3) to the expansion tank of the cooling system.
Note. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Pressurize the cooling system to approximately 100 kPa.
6. Check the tightness of the cooling system.
7. Disconnect the tool for checking the cooling system:
- Relieve pressure.
- Disconnect the tool from the EN-471 adapter.
8. Install the cover of the expansion tank of the cooling system.
9. Move the expansion tank of the cooling system onto the bracket.
