Checking engine oil level — every 400 km (Opel Omega A)

1. Make sure the car is on level ground. Check the oil level no sooner than 5 minutes after the engine has been turned off.

2. The dipstick is on the forward side of the engine. Remove the dipstick and wipe off the oil with a clean rag (see illustration). Insert the dipstick into the tube as far as it will go, then pull it out again.



3. The oil level on the end of the dipstick should be between the upper (MAX) and lower (MIN) marks (see illustration). 4 Add oil through the filler neck. Use a funnel to avoid spills. Add oil slowly, do not overfill (see illustration).
