Warnings:
- When assembling, lubricate all rubbing surfaces (for example, bearings, pistons, bearing shells, etc.) with clean motor oil.
- When assembling, install previously removed parts in their original places and in the same position.
- Prevent any magnetic materials from coming into contact with the crankshaft angle sensor rotor teeth, flywheel or drive plate and back plate.
Checking the cylinder block
Remove any remaining gasket material from the engine block.
Clean the cylinder block with a brush and solvent.
Using a metal ruler and feeler gauge, check the flatness of the cylinder block mating surface in several directions.

Checking the piston protrusion
Install the KM-301 measuring blocks (2) with the MKM-571-V pointer-type indicator (1) on the cylinder block mating surface. Install the measuring tip of the pointer-type indicator on the cylinder block mating surface and the indicator pointer at 0.

Move the measuring tip of the pointer indicator to the bottom of the piston and use the scale to determine the piston protrusion.
Permissible piston protrusion: 0.4 mm.
