Removal and installation of a helical spring is carried out according to an illustration.
Removing
1. First you need to disconnect the clamps (1) and remove the parking brake cables.
2. Loosen the anti-roll bar connecting rod nuts (2).
3. Then the nut is loosened (3), the washer is removed from the finger and the shock absorber itself is removed from the bridge.
4. To do this, the bridge must be raised, unloading the shock absorber.
Instruction. When raising and further lowering the axle, make sure that the brake hose, crankcase ventilation hose or parking brake cables are not under tension.
5. Lower the bridge onto the hoist so that the spring and top seal can be removed.
Installation
The helical spring is installed as follows:
1. Install the spring with the insulating gasket on the bridge support.
2. Raise the bridge slowly (assistant's work), making sure that the spring is installed correctly at the top and bottom.
3. Now raise the bridge so that the spring sits at the top in its place.
4. Install a shock absorber on the bridge.
5. screw (3) rolls with the puck.
6. Fasten the connecting rods with nuts (2).
7. The parking brake cables are secured to the trailing arm with brackets (1) and bolts (9 Nm).
