Removal



1. Remove the bracket (1) and disconnect the parking brake cable.

2. Disconnect the trailing arm from the chassis and rear axle. One of the lever mounting bolts (2)…


2. Disconnect the trailing arm from the chassis and rear axle. One of the lever mounting bolts (2) is shown in the illustration. The second bolt is located at the other end of the lever.

Installation



The longitudinal arm is installed in the reverse order of removal. The lever has a plate for attaching the parking brake cable. The plate should be closer to the bridge when installed.

Be careful not to get oil on the rubber bushings and mating parts of the lever.

1. Tighten the mounting bolts and nuts on both sides by hand first.

2. Lower the vehicle onto its wheels and tighten the nuts and bolts at both ends to a torque of 165 Nm.
