Removing
1. To do this, it is necessary to raise the axle with a lift so that the shock absorbers are somewhat compressed.
2. After that, disconnect the shock absorber at the top and bottom (bolt on top and nut on bottom) and take it off.
3. The shock absorber mounting at the bottom is shown in the illustration. The fastening at the top is the same.
4. To check the shock absorber, clamp it vertically by the lower lug in a vise.
Installation
The shock absorber is installed in the reverse order of removal. However, the following must be kept in mind here:
Do not allow any lubricant to get on the rubber bushings of the shock absorber.
1. Install nuts and bolts and hand tighten.
2. Install and secure the rear wheels.
3. Lower the car.
4. The shock absorber mounting nut in the lower part is tightened with a torque of 80 Nm, the mounting bolt in the upper part with a torque of 105 Nm.
5. Do not forget to tighten the bolts securing the brake drum to the axle shaft flange.
