Attention. To prevent personal injury and/or component damage, use the proper tools and fixtures to support the lower rear suspension arm when removing the suspension spring. The suspension spring is under high mechanical stress and may «Fire» before its compression is completely released.
1. Raise and secure the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear wheel from the vehicle.
3. If necessary, remove the rear brake caliper and set aside.
4. Using a suitable hydraulic strut, support the suspension trunnion.
5. Remove bolt (1) and disconnect the lower control arm from the rear wheel hub bracket.
Note.
- Replace the bolt with a new one after each removal.
- Tightening torque: 70 Nm + 90°+ 15°.
6. Using the hydraulic strut, slowly lower the lower arm of the rear suspension and remove the spring (2).
7. Detach the top (2) and lower (3) spring insulators (1).
8. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
