Drum brakes
To replace the bearing, you must have a press.
1. Clamp the axle shaft in a vise.
2. Cut off the bearing snap ring with a chisel. Use protective goggles when doing this.
3. Press out the axle.
4. After that, you can remove the bearing mounting flange and the brake shield.
5. If the brake shield mounting bolt is replaced, it can be pressed out of the flange.
6. Insert a new toothed bolt into the flange hole.
7. Then press it in completely.
8. Install the brake shield and lock plate on the axle shaft.
9. Then install the bearing and circlip.
10. The assembly of the node is shown in the illustration. Pay attention to the fact that the groove with the sealing ring on the outer ring of the bearing looks towards the axle splines.
11. Install the axle shaft as described above.
12. The inside of the seal is lubricated with grease.

Disc brakes
1. A section of the axle bearing assembly with ABS is shown in fig. The illustration shows the additional oil seal installed here.
2. After removing the axle shaft, remove the brake pads (see related section).
3. Press the axle shaft through the bearing housing.
4. If necessary, the bearing can be pressed out of the housing.
5. Take out the stuffing box (if he is) ABS rings from the axle sleeve.
6. If necessary, press out the brake shield mounting bolt from the axle shaft flange.
7. Install a new oil seal in the axle sleeve (if he is) for ABS ring.
8. When replacing a bearing, it is pressed into the housing.
9. Pre-lubricate the bearing o-ring and housing bore. The ring should point out of the axle shaft.
10. Install the bearing housing on the brake shield.
11. Install the bearing with housing and ABS ring on the axle shaft and press it on.
12. Now the axle shaft can be installed in place.
