Warning! Springs must be replaced in pairs, even if one is faulty. Springs vary in stiffness and are marked with paint depending on the stiffness class. Springs of the same stiffness must be installed on both sides of the car.
To complete the work you will need:
- inspection ditch or overpass;
- car stand;
- jack.
Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the car for work and hang the rear part of the car on stands (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Remove the wheel (see "Wheel - replacement").
3. Place the jack under the corresponding lever and jack it up a little.
4. Unscrew the lower shock absorber mounting bolt (see "Rear shock absorbers - inspection and replacement").
Warning! When performing the following operation, do not over-tighten the brake hose, remove it if necessary (see "Brake hoses - replacement").
5. Remove the jack from under the lever and use a large crowbar to push the beam lever down, then remove the spring.
6. Remove the rubber spacers from the spring. The upper spacer is made integral with the bump stop.
7. If the spacers are badly worn, damaged or hardened, replace them.
8. Install the parts in reverse order.
9. Replace the second spring in the same way.
