Note: Springs should be replaced as a set. Depending on the model, springs of the appropriate stiffness are installed - use only springs approved for this model.
1. Support the front wheels with wheel chocks, jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it on jack stands. Remove rear wheels.
2. Remove the brake shoe guide of the corresponding wheel (see chapter 9).
3. Install the KM-6068 tool with KM-6068-10 plates on the coil spring so that at least 3 coils of the spring are compressed (see resist. illustration).
9.3 Installation of KM6068 fixtures (1) and KM-6068-10 (4) on the rear coil spring (5): 2. Upper coil spring damper; 3. Brake hose; 6. Bottom helical spring stop
4. Compress the coil spring. Check for a secure fit on the compression tool spring. Be careful not to damage the brake hose!
5. Remove spring with top damper and bottom stop (see illustration 9.3) from the wheel well. Slowly and carefully decompress the spring and remove it from the fixtures.
6. Check the condition of the helical spring, upper damper and lower stop, if necessary, replace the corresponding components.
7. Installation is done in the reverse order to the dismantling of the components. When installing the spring, make sure that it is correctly positioned in the upper and lower mounting sockets.
8. Replace the second spring in the same way.
