Cars with a "hatchback" and "sedan" body
Removal
Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands.
Raise the suspension arm with a hydraulic jack with a support made according to the dimensions specified in the subsection "Removal and installation the rear suspension beam".
Loosen the lower shock absorber mounting nut. Press the mounting blade on the suspension arm to remove the shock absorber from the beam socket.
Lower the hydraulic jack and remove the suspension spring and buffer.
Installation
Insert the buffer into the spring.
Move the suspension arm down and install the spring in place.
Raise the suspension arm with a jack and put the shock absorber back in place.
Cars with a "station wagon" body
Removal
Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands. Using a garage jack with a support, raise the control arm.
Loosen the nut securing the shock absorber to the suspension arm, remove the support cups and bushings from the shock absorber rod.
Lower the jack and, in the same manner, disconnect the shock absorber from the beam on the other side of the car.
Lower the hydraulic jack a little and remove the suspension spring from the platform on the lever together with the buffer on the other side of the car.
Lower the jack a little more and remove the other suspension spring together with the buffer.
Installation
Install the suspension spring together with the buffer on the lever under which the jack is placed.
Raise the jack a little and put the suspension spring with the buffer in place on the other side of the car. Put the cups and bushings on the shock absorber rod. Put the shock absorber in place. Screw the nut onto the shock absorber rod and tighten it so that the dimension "A" (see picture) between the ends of the shock absorber rod and the nut was 8 mm.
Lower the jack and, acting in a similar manner, install the other rear suspension shock absorber.
