Note: Springs should be replaced as a set. Depending on the model, springs of the appropriate stiffness are installed - use only springs approved for this model.
1. Support the front wheels with wheel chocks, jack up the rear of the car and place it on supports. Remove the rear wheels.
2. Support the corresponding longitudinal arm of the rear beam with a trolley jack.
3. Unscrew the lower bolt securing the shock absorber to the lever (see illustration 6.4).
4. Lower the jack enough to relieve the coil spring.
5. Carefully press the trailing arm down as far as possible, remove the spring and its rubber dampers, and remove the components from under the vehicle (see accompanying illustration). Make sure that the brake hoses are not pinched or twisted. Remember the position of the dampers. Check the condition of the spring and wear of the dampers, replace if necessary.

6. Installation is performed in the reverse order of dismantling the components. When installing the dampers on the coil spring, make sure that they are positioned correctly. Tighten the fasteners with the required force.
7. Replace the second spring in the same way.
