Here the calipers have the same design as on the front wheels. With the exception of the description below, other work is carried out in the same way as the front wheel brakes.
Instructions for removing and installing the brake pads of the front brake mechanism, given in Section 1, apply to rear disc brake pads. The difference lies in the tightening torque of the mounting bolts, which in this case is 44 Nm.
1. When reassembling, press the piston into the cylinder bore as shown. In this case, it is necessary to monitor the level of liquid in the tank.
2. Install the clips and washers on the shoe guide and install the right and left brake shoes.
3. The wear indicator on the bottom of the brake pads should point inward. Install the support.
4. Finally, fill the master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid and depress the brake pedal several times to ensure that the brake pads are in the correct position.
Brake pads require running in. Therefore, do not sharply press the brake pedal during the initial period of operation.
