Warning. Replace the brake pads simultaneously on both brake mechanisms, i.e. both pairs of pads.
Removing
Raise the rear of the car. place on stands and remove the rear wheels, noting their position relative to the hubs.
Knock out the guide pins of the brake pads towards the inner side of the disc, remove the pad pressure springs.
Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, slightly pry the brake pads away from the disc and remove the pads, using an inertial puller if necessary.
Move the pistons as far as possible inside the cylinder using the tool Teves 03.9314-4950.3/01, having previously removed some of the brake fluid from the reservoir if necessary.
Clean pad guides. If mineral cleaner is used, do not allow it to come into contact with rubber parts.
Check the thickness of the brake disc and the condition of its working surfaces.
Check the condition of the piston dust caps.
Installation
Set the pistons to working position using Teves tool 03.9314-0600.1/02 and, if necessary, correct their angular position.
Apply grease to the sliding edges of the brake pads and install them in place in the caliper.
Insert the pad guide pins from the inside to the outside of the disc and install new pressure springs.
Install rear wheels.
Press the brake pedal sharply several times to set the pistons to the working position.
Check and, if necessary, top up the brake fluid level in the reservoir.
