To remove the brake shield, you need to remove the brake drum, brake shoes and wheel cylinder. The description of these works is given in the relevant subsections.
1. Disconnect the parking brake lever cable.
2. Loosen the bolts and remove the axle shaft with the brake shield from the axle shaft housing as described in Chapter Cardan drive shafts.
3. After assembly, bleed the brake system and adjust the parking brake.
