Removal and installation the rear wheel brake shield (Opel Corsa C)

Removal


Fill the brake system hydraulic fluid reservoir to the "MAX" mark and close it using the special tool MKM-558-10.

Remove the rear wheel.

Remove the brake drum.

Remove the rear wheel brake pads.

Remove the wheel brake cylinder.

Disconnect the clamp and remove the parking brake cable from the brake shield.

Disconnect the wheel bearing module with brake shield from the rear axle.

Installation



Attach the brake shield with the wheel bearing module to the rear axle.

Install the parking brake cable into the brake shield and attach the new clamp.

Install the wheel brake cylinder.

Install the rear wheel brake pads.

Install the brake drum.

Tighten the rear wheel to 110 Nm.

Bleed the brake system and check for leaks.

Press the brake pedal several times.

Add brake fluid to the "MAX" mark.
