Replacing the front brake disc (Opel Corsa C)

Note: In general, always replace both brake discs on the same axle.

Removal

Remove the front wheel.

Release the brake hose from the spring strut mount.

Disconnect the brake hose clamp.

Pull the brake hose out of the bracket.

Disconnect the shoe guide mounting bolts from the steering knuckle.

Remove the brake caliper from the brake shoe guide and hang it on the spring strut.

Loosen the clamp bolt.

Remove the brake disc.

Installation

Clean the mating surfaces of the brake disc and wheel hub.

Note: Make sure that the contact surfaces are not deformed or burred.

Attach the brake disc to the front wheel hub with a screw and tighten to a torque of 7 Nm.

Attach the brake shoe guide to the steering knuckle with the brake caliper and brake shoe linings and tighten to a torque of 100 Nm.

Note: Clean threads and install bolts with locking compound.

Connect the brake hose to the spring strut.

Attach the brake hose to the bracket.

Install the clamping bar.

Install the 2 front wheels and tighten to 110 Nm.
