Note. All lining brake pads of one axle must be replaced.
Removing
Remove 2 front wheels.
Remove the brake pad sensor from the brake pad inner lining, if equipped.
Remove the lever retaining spring from the brake caliper with a screwdriver.
Remove the dust caps from the guide bolt bushings.
Loosen the brake caliper guide bolts.
Remove the brake caliper from the shoe guide.
Remove the outer brake shoe lining from the brake caliper and the inner brake shoe lining with retaining collar from the pistons.
Check brake pads and brake discs.
Clean the guides (arrows) in the shoe guide with a soft metal brush.
Coat the guides with an anti-creak compound.
Push the piston in.
Note. The level of brake fluid in the reservoir of the hydraulic drive of the brake system rises. If necessary, pump out the brake fluid with a blower. If the brake caliper is leaking or the protective cap on the brake caliper is damaged: have the brake repaired.
Installation
Install the brake pad inner lining into the piston and secure with the retaining clip.
Note. When installing the brake pads, make sure that the arrows on the back of the pad point in the direction of rotation of the brake disc when the vehicle is moving forward.
Install the outer brake pad to the brake caliper.
Install the brake caliper onto the pad guide with pads.
Note. Make sure the brake hose is not kinked.
Attach the brake caliper to the shoe guide and tighten to 28 Nm.
Install dust caps.
Install the retaining spring to the caliper.
Attach the brake pad wear sensor to the inner brake pad, if equipped.
Install the front wheels and tighten to 110 Nm.
Press the brake pedal several times.
Top up the brake fluid to the mark «MAX».
