Replacing brake system tubes — removal and installation (Opel Corsa C)

Removal

Fill the brake system hydraulic fluid reservoir to the "MAX" mark and close it using the special tool MKM-558-10.

Note: Brake pipes are generally supplied without connecting bolts and flares. Use connecting bolts of the corresponding diameter when you need to manufacture brake pipes. Install the corresponding connecting bolt on the brake pipe and flare the end of the brake pipe. Pay attention to the original flaring type.

Bend new brake lines using the brake line to be replaced as a model.

Note: Use a flaring tool to avoid changing the cross-section.

Additional protective covers for brake system pipes must be installed in the original location.

Installation

Caution! When replacing brake pipes, make sure they are between electrical lines. Abrasion will cause electrical system failure. The distance between brake pipes and electrical lines should be at least 25 mm.

The locking bolts of all brake system pipes are tightened to a torque of 14 Nm.

Remove special tool MKM-558-10 from the brake fluid reservoir.



Bleed the brake system and check for leaks.

Adjust the brake fluid level so that it is at the "MAX" mark.
