Attention! Before repair work on the ABS hydraulic unit or the control unit for the ABS hydraulic unit, read the repair instructions.
Removing
Loosen seal for radiator tank 2 as far as possible.
Fold up protective cover 1 for the master brake cylinder.
Install tool KM-558-10 on the brake fluid reservoir.
Unscrew screw cap 1.
Pour in brake fluid up to the brim.
Screw in with KM-558-10.
Note. Clean up spilled brake fluid.
Loosen the brake pipes 2 on the main brake cylinder.
Loosen 2 nuts.
Remove the brake pipe guide 3 from the end panel.
Remove the ABS hydraulic unit.
Remove all brake pipes from the hydraulic unit.
Remove 6 nuts (arrows).
Note. Use pipe wrench. Pay attention to the conformity of the brake pipe.
Plug in the wiring harness connector 1.
Loosen 2 nuts 2.
Unscrew the hydraulic unit into the end panel through the holder.
Installation
Install the ABS hydraulic unit.
Unscrew the hydraulic unit into the holder.
Tighten 2 nuts 2 10 Nm.
Plug in the wiring harness connector 1.
Install all brake pipes in the hydraulic unit.
Tighten 6 nuts (arrow) 16 Nm.
Note. Use pipe wrench. Pay attention to the conformity of the brake pipe.
Mount brake pipes 2 on the main brake cylinder.
Tighten 2 nuts 16 Nm.
Mount the brake pipe guide 3 on the end panel.
Bleed the brake system and check for leaks.
Fold up protective cover 1 for the master brake cylinder.
Mount the seal on the radiator tank 2.
When replacing the control unit: program the ABS control unit.
