1. The ignition control unit is located in the right rear corner of the engine compartment. First, disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Lift the hood gasket and plastic cover from the bulkhead on the right side.
3. Disconnect the multi-pin plug.
4. On carbureted models, disconnect the vacuum hose.
5. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the control unit.
