2. To test the sensor, disconnect the wire on top of the engine and attach an ohmmeter to the two clamps on the sensor. The resistance should match the specifications. If not, the sensor is faulty.
3. The resistance can also be checked at the control unit by disconnecting the multi-pin plug. The terminal numbers are 11 and 12 on 1.8 models, and 23 and 25 on 2.0 models.
4. To remove the sensor, use a wrench to unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the sensor from the cylinder block (photo).


5. Disconnect the wire contact, unfasten the cable from the toothed belt cover of the drive.
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
