Switch on the ignition and start the engine. In this case, the indicator lamp should first light up dimly, then about 1 s after starting the engine, light up brightly and start flashing. If this does not happen, check the continuity of the circuit between the output with an ohmmeter «1» control unit connector and output «1» ignition coils, as well as the integrity of the circuit between the output «1» block connector and «weight».
Check of the relay of inclusion of the fuel pump
Connect a test lamp to the terminals «4» And «5» control unit connector.
Switch on the ignition and start the engine. In this case, the control lamp should light up. If it does not light up, check the continuity of the circuit by connecting an ohmmeter between the output «4» control unit connector and output «50» fuel pump relay.
Checking the injection system power relay
Connect test lamp between terminals «9» And «5» control unit connector.
Switch on the ignition and start the engine. The control lamp should light up. If the lamp does not light up, check the continuity of the circuit by connecting an ohmmeter between the terminal «9» control unit connector and output «87» power relay, then between the output «30» control relay and positive battery terminal. If the test lamp does not illuminate with good circuits, replace the injection power relay.
Note. See the table on page 102 for the system check sequence for troubleshooting.
