2. Clean the crankcase from oil and metal dust.
3. Pry and remove the speedometer driven gear from its guide.
4. The O-ring and seal will need to be replaced before reinstalling the driven gear.

5. Check the needle bearing located in the clutch housing for wear. If it needs to be replaced, the clutch release mechanism must be removed (see chapter 5).
6. The needle bearing is removed and installed using a suitable bit (see photo).

7. Inspect the needle bearing supporting the driven shaft in the box housing. If the bearing is worn, remove it for replacement using a suitable puller or bolt with nut and spacer.
