2. Clean the crankcase from oil and metal dust.
3. Pry and remove the speedometer driven gear from its guide.
4. Before installing the driven gear in place, it will be necessary to replace the sealing ring and oil seal.

5. Check the needle bearing located in the clutch housing for wear. If it needs to be replaced, the clutch release mechanism (see chapter 5).
6. The needle bearing is removed and installed using a suitable punch (see photo).

7. Inspect the needle bearing supporting the driven shaft in the gearbox housing. If the bearing is worn, remove it for replacement using a suitable puller or a bolt with a nut and spacer washer.
