Using the pulley mounting bolt, turn the engine crankshaft in the direction of operating rotation until the mark (2) on the crankshaft pulley aligns with the mark on the front cover of the cylinder block.

Make sure that the marks (1) on the camshaft pulleys are aligned with the marks on the cylinder head. In this case, the valve timing is adjusted correctly.
If the marks (1) on the camshaft pulleys are not aligned with the marks on the cylinder head, adjust the valve timing.
Install the front cover of the timing belt drive of the gas distribution mechanism.
