Timing belt tensioner and guide rollers (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Remove the timing belt from the engine pulleys (see the relevant chapter).

Remove the timing belt tension roller (1) from the oil pump.



Remove the timing belt guide roller (1) from the cylinder block and the timing belt guide roller (2) from the timing belt guide roller base bracket.

Installation

Install the timing belt tensioner roller onto the oil pump, making sure that the stop (1) contacts the oil pump guide. Tighten the timing belt tension roller mounting bolt to a torque of 25 Nm.



Install the toothed belt guide roller base, then install the toothed belt guide rollers (1) and (2) and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 25 N·m.



Install the timing belt of the gas distribution mechanism drive (see the relevant chapter).
