Checking engine oil pressure (Opel Frontera B)

Remove the lower engine compartment protection.

Disconnect the connector (1) from the engine oil pressure sensor (2), then remove the engine oil pressure sensor from the oil pump. Collect any leaking engine oil.

Check the engine oil level and correct it if necessary.

Instead of the oil pressure sensor, screw in the KM 135 adapter (2) with the KM-498-V pressure gauge (1).

Start the engine and check the engine oil pressure.

When the engine is idling and the engine oil temperature is 80°C, the engine oil pressure should be at least 0.3 bar (4 psi).

Remove the pressure gauge with the adapter, screw in the engine oil pressure sensor and tighten it to a torque of 40 Nm.

Connect the connector to the engine oil pressure sensor.
