Checking the installation of the timing mechanism drive of a 16-valve engine (Opel Kadett E)

Remove the alternator drive belt.

Remove the front timing belt cover.

Place a ratchet wrench with a TORX E20 head on the front end of the crankshaft and slowly and smoothly turn the shaft clockwise and check whether the mark on the crankshaft pulley matches the pointer on the cylinder block (see picture); are the marks on the camshaft pulleys opposite the marks on the cylinder head?.
