Intake manifold (Opel Frontera B)

Removal



Remove the high pressure fuel lines (see the relevant chapter).

Remove the bolts and remove the upper section of the intake manifold (1) from the lower section.

Remove the bolts and remove the upper section of the intake manifold (1) from the lower section.


Disconnect the vacuum hose (1) from the vacuum diaphragm switch.

Disconnect the vacuum hose (1) from the vacuum diaphragm switch.


Release the crankshaft position sensor connector (2) from the holder on the lower section of the intake manifold.

Remove the eye from the cylinder head and disconnect the lower section (2) of the intake manifold from the cylinder head.

Installation



Clean the mating surfaces of the intake manifold sections from any gasket residue.

Install the lower section of the intake manifold with a new gasket onto the cylinder head and secure with nuts, tightening them to a torque of 22 N·m.



Install the Crankshaft Position Sensor connector bracket to the lower section of the intake manifold.

Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum diaphragm switch.

Warning: High pressure fuel lines are intended to be used only once, so use new lines when installing.

Install the upper section of the intake manifold with a new gasket onto the lower section of the intake manifold and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 8 N·m.

Install high pressure fuel lines (see the relevant chapter).
