Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (2) from the vacuum pump (1).
Disconnect the wiring harness from the engine lugs.
Remove the bolts and lugs from the rear of the engine.
Unscrew the bolts and remove the bearing cover No. 5 of the camshaft from the cylinder head (see the relevant chapter).
Location of vacuum hoses in the engine compartment: 1 - intake manifold air swirl control solenoid; 2 - exhaust gas reburn system drive control solenoid; 3 - turbocharger boost pressure actuator control solenoid

Loosen the nuts and remove the sound insulation from the bulkhead, which will make it easier to access the vacuum pump.
Remove the bolts, disconnect the vacuum hose (3) and remove the vacuum pump together with the gasket from the rear of the cylinder head.
Installation
Clean the mating surfaces of the vacuum pump and cylinder head from gasket residue.
Connect the vacuum hose (3) to the vacuum pump (1), then install the vacuum pump with a new seal on the rear of the cylinder head and secure with the bolts, tightening them to a torque of 8 N·m.
Install the sound insulation on the partition and secure with nuts.

Install the bearing cover No. 5 of the camshaft onto the cylinder head and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 15 N·m.
Install the lugs onto the rear of the engine.

Secure the wiring harness to the engine lugs.
Connect the brake booster vacuum hose (2) to the vacuum pump (1).
Install the cylinder head cover (1) (see the relevant chapter).
