Removal



1. Remove the windshield wiper motor, see the relevant chapter.

2. Disconnect the low pressure hose from the brake booster by disconnecting the so-called quick-release valve 1 (see illustration).

3. Disconnect the low pressure hose 2 from the vacuum pump (see illustration).

3. Disconnect the low pressure hose 2 from the vacuum pump (see illustration).


4. Unscrew the 3 mounting bolts and remove the vacuum pump from the cylinder head (see illustration 7.3).

5. Clean the sealing surfaces and remove any remaining old sealant.

Installation



6. Secure the vacuum pump to the cylinder head, replacing the old sealing ring 1 with a new one (see illustration).

The tightening torque of the pump mounting bolts is 8 Nm.



7. Connect the low pressure hose to the pump and connect it to the brake booster, securing the quick-release valve.

8. Reinstall the windshield wiper motor.
