Oil pump — removal and installation (Opel Omega B2)

Removal

1. Remove the timing gear cover (see the relevant chapter).

2. Remove cover 1 of the oil pump, located under the timing gear housing (see illustration).



3. Remove the leading 2 and driven 3 gears of the oil pump (see illustration).



4. Clean all parts, inspect them and make sure they are not damaged or worn out. Replace them with new ones if necessary.

Installation

5. Install the drive and driven gears into the pump body, secure the roof and tighten its mounting bolts with a force of 8 Nm.

6. Install the timing gear housing (see the relevant chapter).
