Removing
Remove the timing belt rear cover. Remove the pan and its baffle, disconnect the oil supply pipe to the oil cooler.
On 1.8L and 2.0L engines, remove the oil filter from the oil pump.
On engines with two camshafts, disconnect the oil cooler pipes from the oil pump and take them to the side.
Disconnect the pressure sensor wires at the oil pump.
On engines with two camshafts, remove the spacer from the end of the crankshaft.
Turn away bolts and remove an oil pump from the block of cylinders. Remove the gasket.
Installation
Wipe the mating surfaces of the oil pump and cylinder block, put a new gasket on the block.
Wrap a thin layer of tape around the front end of the crankshaft to avoid damaging the lips of the seal when installing the pump.
Apply a coat of grease to the lip of the seal, then install the pump so that its inner gear engages the flats on the crankshaft (pic. 2.74).
Tighten the bolts to the required torque, then remove the tape from the crankshaft.
On engines with two camshafts, apply sealant to the mating surface of the oil pump washer (Vauxhall/Opel N 15 04 200 or equivalent), then push the washer on the crankshaft until it stops against the end of the oil pump.
Connect the wiring to the pressure sensor.
On engines with two camshafts, connect the oil cooler pipes to the oil pump. On 1.8 and 2.0 liter engines, install a new oil filter.
Install the pallet baffle (If you want to), oil supply pipe and pan.
Install the rear timing belt guard.
