Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
Carry out the operations indicated earlier in the section "Carburetor - removal and installation", the first seven points, ignoring the point regarding refrigerant leakage.
Disconnect the coolant hose from the back of the manifold.
If required, disconnect the breather hose from the camshaft cover from the rear of the manifold.
Disconnect the brake servo vacuum hose from the pipeline.
Disconnect the wiring from the temperature gauge sensor.
Unscrew and remove the top nut and bolt of the alternator.
Disconnect and remove the short hose that connects the crankcase breather pipe to the back of the camshaft housing.
Make sure. that all hoses, tubes and wires are disconnected.
Unscrew nuts and remove a collector from a head of the block of cylinders. Mark the position of the lift bracket that is secured with one of the manifold nuts and remove the manifold gasket.
If desired, the carburetor can be removed from the manifold.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
After removing the carburetor from the manifold, a new gasket is installed during installation.
If the alternator bracket was removed from the manifold, secure it with bolts before installing the manifold, as access to them will be restricted after the manifold is in place.
Before installing the manifold, install a new gasket and ensure that the engine lift bracket is in place.
Make sure all hoses, tubes and wires are properly connected.
Fill the cooling system.
Check throttle cable free play and adjust if necessary.
If there was an intervention in the carburetor. - check it and, if necessary, adjust the quality of the mixture and idle speed.
