Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
Perform the operations specified earlier in the section "Carburetor - removal and installation", the first seven points, ignoring the point regarding refrigerant leakage.
Disconnect the coolant hose from the rear of the manifold.

If necessary, disconnect the breather hose from the camshaft cover at the rear of the manifold.

Disconnect the brake servo vacuum hose from the line.
Disconnect the wiring from the temperature gauge sensor.
Unscrew and remove the upper nut and bolt of the generator.
Disconnect and remove the short hose that connects the crankcase breather pipe to the back of the camshaft housing.
Make sure all hoses, tubes and wires are disconnected.
Unscrew the nuts and remove the manifold from the cylinder head. Mark the position of the lifting bracket, which is secured by one of the manifold nuts, and remove the manifold gasket.
If desired, the carburetor can be removed from the manifold.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
After removing the carburetor from the manifold, a new gasket is installed during installation.
If the alternator bracket was removed from the manifold, secure it with bolts before installing the manifold, as access to them will be limited once the manifold is in place.
Before installing the manifold, install a new gasket and make sure the engine lift bracket is in place.
Make sure all hoses, tubes and wires are connected correctly.
Fill the cooling system.
Check the throttle cable free play and adjust it if necessary.
If there was interference with the carburetor, check it and, if necessary, adjust the mixture quality and idle speed.
