Note: The diaphragm device is completely replaceable if necessary, there are no spare parts for it.
Disconnect the air cleaner hoses and remove the air box.
Disconnect the diaphragm vacuum tube from the carburetor.
Separate the diaphragm operating rod swivel from the secondary throttle linkage.
If required, remove the two screws and the fuel vapor separator from the bracket. Move it to the side, being careful not to pull on the fuel hoses.
If necessary for access, remove the choke housing as noted below.
Remove the four screws and remove the diaphragm assembly along with the bracket removed from the carburetor body.
Install the new diaphragm following the reverse order of removal.
If required, when installing the bimetallic choke spring housing, check that the spring is correctly engaged with the lever and align the marks on the spring and choke housings made before removal.
