Note: The diaphragm device is completely replaceable if necessary; there are no spare parts for it.
Disconnect the air cleaner hoses and remove the air box.
Disconnect the diaphragm device vacuum tube from the carburetor.
Separate the diaphragm operating rod pivot from the secondary throttle linkage.
If necessary, remove the two screws and the fuel vapor separator from the bracket. Slide it to the side, being careful not to stretch the fuel lines.
If necessary for access, remove the air damper housing as described below.
Remove the four screws and take out the diaphragm assembly together with the bracket removed from the carburetor body.
Install a new diaphragm in the reverse order of removal.
If necessary, when installing the bimetallic air damper spring housing, check that the spring is correctly engaged with the lever and align the marks on the spring and air damper housings made before removal.
