Remove the three screws and remove the airbox along with the air lines.
Remove the clamp from the end of the throttle cable at the carburetor bracket, then remove the gasket from it.
Remove the end of the cable from the throttle lever.
Working inside the cabin, loosen the mounting clips, remove the interior trim panel from the driver's footwell.
Pull the cable holder away from the pedal.
Make a detailed note of the location of the cable, then pull it through the bulkhead of the engine compartment.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Check cable location.
Make sure the baffle rubber bushing is properly installed.
After installation, check the operation of the throttle actuator and, if necessary, adjust the cable, as indicated below.
There are two points for adjusting the cable, namely the stop screw under the accelerator pedal (serves to adjust the position of the pedal) and a clamp located on the threaded part of the protective sheath of the cable next to the carburetor bracket (serves to adjust the free play of the cable).
The cable must be adjusted in such a way that when the accelerator pedal is depressed, there is still very little free play in the cable.
Check that the throttle is fully open when the accelerator pedal is fully depressed. Adjust the position of the clamp on the cable sheath and the stop screw on the pedals.
