Fuel vapor trap — removal and installation (Opel Astra F)

If present, the vapor trap is located on a bracket attached to the side of the carburetor.

Note the location of the three fuel hoses (mark them with labels if necessary) for orientation during installation, then disconnect the hoses from the catcher. Considering the possible leak, take fire safety measures. Close the hoses to prevent dirt from entering and fuel leakage.

Remove the two screws and then the vapor separator from the bracket.

Check the catcher body for cracks and leaks before installation, and replace it if necessary.

Installation is carried out in reverse order. Check that all three hoses are installed correctly and are in their original position.
