Carbon filter



Removal and installation



1. Remove the right front wheel.

2. Loosen the mounting nuts and push out the pins.

3. Remove the outer parts of the fasteners.

4. Remove the right front wheel arch insert.

5. Unscrew the fastening nut.

6. Remove the carbon filter (indicated by the arrow) from the mountings. Mark and disconnect the hoses.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Blow-off valve



Valve location on 2.5 and 3.0 L engines

Valve location on 2.5 and 3.0 L engines


On 2.5 and 3.0 L engines, a purge valve (indicated by the arrow) located behind the cylinder head.

Removal and installation



2.0L SOHC engine

1. Disconnect the valve connection connector.

2. Disconnect the hoses from the valve, unscrew the mounting screws and remove the valve.

3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

2.0L DOHC engine

4. Disconnect the valve connection connector.

5. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the valve together with the mounting bracket from the cylinder head.



6. Label and disconnect the vacuum hoses.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

2.5 and 3.0 liter engines

8. Remove the upper section of the intake manifold.

9. Unscrew the valve mounting bolt, disconnect the connection connector and hoses.

10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
