Removal
1. The fuel vapor separator is located on a bracket attached to the side of the carburetor.
2. Note the location of the three fuel supply hoses, then disconnect the hoses from the vapor separator. Plug the open ends of the hoses to prevent dirt from entering and further fuel loss.
3. Unscrew the two mounting screws and remove the steam separator from the bracket.
4. Check the condition of the separator body for cracks or leaks, replace if necessary.
Installation
5. Install in reverse order but make sure the three fuel supply hoses are properly connected as noted before removal.

6. Start the engine, check the connecting hoses for leaks. If there is a fuel leak, turn off the engine immediately and fix the problem without delay.
