Note: Before you start, see Chapter 2.
Removing
1. The fuel vapor separator is located on a bracket attached to the side of the carburetor.
2. Note the location of the three fuel supply hoses, then disconnect the hoses from the vapor separator. Seal the open ends of the hoses to prevent dirt from entering and further loss of fuel.
3. Unscrew the two fastening screws, remove the vapor separator from the bracket.
4. Check the condition of the separator housing for cracks or leaks, replace if necessary.
Installation
5. Install in reverse order but make sure the three fuel supply hoses are properly connected as noted before removal.
6. Start the engine, check the connecting hoses for leaks. If there is a fuel leak, shut off the engine immediately and repair the problem without delay.
