Note: Before you begin, see. Chapter 2.
1. Disconnect the low voltage wire from the ignition coil.
2. Wrap a clean cloth around the pump outlet, then disconnect the hose from the pump.
3. Ask an assistant to turn the engine over with the starter. Fuel should come out of the pump outlet in strong, even bursts - if this is not the case, the pump is probably faulty (or the fuel tank is empty).
4. There are no spare parts for the pump, so in case of failure the unit must be replaced.
