Accelerator pedal — removal and installation (Opel Astra F)

Working inside the vehicle, loosen the clamps and remove the driver's footwell panel.



Remove the cable clamp from the top of the pedal and disconnect the end of the cable from the pedal.

Remove the snap ring from the right side of the pedal pivot, and pull out the axle from the left side of the pedal. Remove the axle bushing and pedal return spring.





Before installing the pedal components, check the axle bushings for wear and replace them if necessary.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, after installation, check the operation of the drive and the adjustment of the throttle cable as indicated above.
