Replacement

The throttle cable is very sensitive to bending. Therefore, it should be handled with care during installation. A small bend can lead to the cable breaking later while driving.

1. Remove the throttle cable (1) with the rubber seal (2) upwards from the support (3).

The throttle cable stopper (4) cannot be removed.

2. The throttle cable is secured to the drive rod using a ball joint. Press the locking bracket (5) away from the ball joint, tilt it upwards and remove the locking bracket from the ball joint (refer to illustration).

3. Use a screwdriver to disconnect the ball joint from the rod.

4. Do not fully insert the locking clip into the ball joint.

5. Install the ball joint. Fully insert the retaining clip and bend it onto the ball joint.

6. Insert the throttle cable with rubber seal.

7. Check the throttle cable adjustment.

Adjustment

1. Ask an assistant to fully depress the gas pedal.

2. Adjust the throttle cable by moving the lock on the support until the full throttle position is reached on the throttle lever.

3. Press the throttle lever by hand until it reaches full throttle. The play should be no more than 1 mm.
