Removing
1. In the engine compartment, slide the latch and disconnect the throttle cable core from the throttle control lever.
2. Release the cable sheath from the support bracket - be careful not to lose the adjusting bracket. Having walked along the entire cable, release it from the intermediate clamps, try to remember the route of the cable laying.
3. On the models equipped with AT, disconnect electroconducting from the gauge switch of the kickdown mode which is built in cable assembly.
4. In the car, in order to provide access to the pedal assembly, release the fasteners and remove the left (driver's license) the lower section of the instrument panel trim.
5. Under the instrument panel, release the tip of the cable from the accelerator pedal assembly.
6. Returning to the engine compartment, release the cable sheath bushing from the rear bulkhead. Remove the cable assembly with the bushing.
7. Check the cable for signs of wear and mechanical damage. Replace if necessary.
The bushings can be changed individually.
Installation
1. From the engine compartment, pass the cable through the bulkhead into the cabin. Fasten the bushing in its hole in the bulkhead.
2. In the cabin, fasten the tip of the cable to the pedals and check the reliability of the fit of the bushing in the bulkhead of the engine compartment. Install the lower section of the instrument panel trim.
3. Check the correctness of the cable laying in the engine compartment, monitor the reliability of its fastening in all intermediate clamps. On models with AT, connect the wiring to the kickdown switch.
4. Connect the tip of the cable to the throttle actuator lever and secure it with the retainer. Attach the cable assembly sheath to the support bracket, then adjust the tightness (see below).
Adjustment
1. In an impellent compartment remove an adjusting bracket from a cable cover.
2. With the bracket removed, make sure the lever is fully retracted. Gently pull the cable out of the lug and take up all the slack in it.
3. While holding the cable sheath in this position, install the brace in the last groove in the sheath before the support bracket. The cable slack should now be minimal.
4. Ask the assistant to squeeze out an impellent compartment of an emphasis an accelerator pedal and make sure of completeness of opening and a throttle valve. When the pedal is released, the damper should smoothly return to its original position.
