Common parameters
Fuel
Gasoline models - Unleaded gasoline is not worse than AI-95
Diesel models - Diesel fuel with a cetane rating of at least 49
Operation of diesel models in winter conditions
When using a summer version of diesel fuel at temperatures below 0°C, interruptions in the operation of the engine may occur, due to an increase in the viscosity of the fuel as a result of wax release.
At low temperatures, use a special «winter» diesel fuel. Depending on the brand, winter fuel ensures uninterrupted operation at temperatures from -15°С to -22°С.
It is not allowed to use gasoline, etc. as additives to diesel fuel. thinners!
If the fuel quality is poor, the fuel filter may need to be replaced more frequently than the maintenance schedule suggests.
Fuel tank
Astra models - 52 liters
Zafira models - 58 liters
Specific fuel consumption / CO 2 emission
Since 1996, the regulation 80/1268/EWG in the latest modification 1999/100/EC has been in force for determining fuel consumption.
The instruction is based on real traffic conditions: driving in the city is evaluated with a coefficient of 1/3, and outside it: 2/3, taking into account cold starts and acceleration phases. An integral part of the instruction is an indication of the obligation to publish carbon dioxide emissions (CO 2).
Given in the Specifications to the Chapter Manual the data is indicative only. When determining fuel consumption according to the 1999/100/EC standard, the dead weight of the vehicle, which is set according to the same instructions, is taken into account. The complete set of the vehicle with additional devices and assemblies leads to a change in mass, which also has an inevitable effect on the amount of fuel consumption and CO 2 emission.
The first letter in the engine type designation indicates compliance with the established standard for reducing the toxicity of exhaust gases (X: 1996, petrol models: D3, D4, diesel models: Euro2; Y: 1998, petrol models: D4, Euro3, diesel models: Euro3; Z: 1998 Petrol Models: Euro4 Level B).
Data see in Specifications to the Chapter Manual.
